These look like homegrown fruits? The Bramley looks old-fashioned and juicy. Is the Ballarina espaliered? Admire that method of growing fruit.

Thanks for play the autumn game. Okay to routinely just add your name to the daily player list? If you don't make it, no harm done.

The Bramley is a new sapling only been in a few months. I'm delighted to see it fruiting. The ballerina isn't an espalier. It's natural habit is to fruit on short branches no more than 6 inches long.

This is an apple I am not familiar with. It looks delish though! Does it make a good apple pie????

Yes, Janis it's good for eating and baking a good all-rounder as they say.
Ballerina is the name for the type of tree, a columnar tree.

Seems like I'm the only one who didn't go apple. (:

I enjoy them, but they are not my favorite fall fruit. I love pears but don't have any trees of either.

There used to be a very tiny orchard nearby with the short trees and all hooked together on wires. I see that they were chopped down last winter. So sad.
