Fun Monday

Molly of Return of the White Robin has taken up the challenge of setting February's Fun Monday. A big Thank You to Molly!
"Imagine that you are the recipient of a large sum of money, say 10 million dollars (to account for inflation). Tell us what you would do with the gift and how would your lifestyle change."

Let's begin with the what wouldn't change...I'd want to keep on living where I am now and hope that would be possible.

$$$$ so much money would be far too much for me to deal with. I'd have to pass some on to others in my life.
OH, and the neighbours M and M plus my god-daughter and her parents...what a short list! I'd better add my Lancastrian friend that lives in Scotland.

I'd love to go to health spas and indulge in their top-to-toe treatments! There'd be money to spare for travel...but would I have the nerve to go? Perhaps I could have my own personal courier to arrange it all for me? Not forgetting that our GSDs would have a dog sitter so they could stay home in comfort.
What about OH you ask? That's a big, big question... He's the World's Best at Saving instead of Spending! I'd have to make sure he had a share to do with as he wished.

I must remember to include donations to various charities that are close to my heart.

Joany, Thanks for joining this Fun Monday. A personal courier and a dog sitter is a grand idea.

That sounds a bit like what I would do... My main indulgence in travel would be FIRST CLASS! Having just flown to Korea in economy, I can tell you that it's not a comfortable way to go.

sounds like plenty of people would be 'careful' with the money. it's a sign of the times, isn't it? fun to get a peek in on what anyone else would do, isn't it?

Winning a large amount of money, like you, doesn't make me think automatically of moving to a larger, finer place. Luckily our neighborhood means a lot. Like your idea of pampered travel. While I admire those young ones who set off to see the world with just a back pack and a $100, much prefer some help with the trip logistics and not have to worry about funds along the way.

I wouldn't need a bigger house or change either. Until we can't climb stairs anymore. Being content is highly underrated. Flying first class would be a must -- that is a real deterrent to going back to Hawaii, that red eye flight back, all hunched over :(

Not only would I get a dog sitter... I would get a dog! (:

Oh, my, what a question! I doubt I'd move but I would have the house redecorated and refurnished, I think. I might retire, being so close to it anyway, and I might set up my own littlies tuition company.
I'd have a few more holidays and I would support my children financially.
The rest I would invest, I think, and leave to my children/family,

It would be nice to have enough money to live well and travel. Keeping it quiet would help, that way you know who your real friends are.
