October and Faye takes up the challenge

October 4 Topic: Favorite Family Photos--share one--or two--that has special meaning for you and tell us why.
Many thanks to Faye for her generous offer to host Fun Monday throughout October...

I'm going to dig thro' my photo archives, I might even need to use my scanner to digitise some older images. Thank you Faye, you have set a lovely task (smile)

Let me fess up now, there's bound to be some pix of family dogs...

Darling K, gone but not forgotten. Aka 'K_bear' as she loved cuddles and was so fluffy with a luxurious coat.

L, my canine companion...now...

 Family...today...

Family of yesterday...

Going back in time...1971
Time it was...I have a photograph, family memories...special people in my life...

Uncle C, survivor of WW1 and beside him, my father...

Aunties I and D taught me housekeeping, cooking and baking.

I remember that suit! I thought I looked grown-up. It was very pale pink and made of bouclé. The shoes were grey suede.

Returning to 'now'
2010 and my favourite person in the whole world!
As I often say...
'Drives me mad; and keeps me sane'. My wonderful guy...companion, gardener, soulmate and all-time pragmatist.

Yes, I had a lovely time looking thro' old black and white photos. Lots and lots of them, but the lack of quality becomes evident when trying to digitise.
Browsing thro' memories of happy times shared with people who influnced my life. Sadly they passed on years ago. Thanks for dropping by.

ha ha ha...I love 'em all.
I stuck with one photo because I waited too late to really do anything justice.

Marvelous pictures!!! And your guy does look like he'd drive you crazy and keep you sane. Mine's kind of like that too.

I also included several pictures - couldn't make up my mind!

I love that 'drives you mad and keeps you sane' bit. Totally fits my husband to a T!

What a nice collection of photos and memories! You are a lucky gal to have such a handy man in your life!

Agreed, favorite family photos always need to include the four-legged. Absolutely love your dogs. I've been thinking about a GS for next dog, but at my age wondering if next one should be a softer breed.

Don't you just love the way our elders stared right into the camera? No shyness on their part or worries about how they'd look in a photo. Glad you have a great companion with whom to enjoy retirement.

Faye our other GSD is now 2 years old and a handful. So boisterous and strong. Made me realise that at our age he'll have to be our last one of the breed unless we rehome an older gentler one. Perhaps that's something you might consider?
Thanks for reminding me how everyone used to square up to the camera. You are so right.
Glad everyone likes my description mad/sane. (smile)
